What does Ren’s flow mean?
Yang Water is abundant: Ren can break through Earth and rarely follows, but it needs a source. Metal is its Resource; without it, spring and summer Ren weakens fast.
Ren’s Lu is Hai and its Growth stage is Shen; it combines with Ding and clashes with Bing, its Indirect Wealth, so the clash often reads as financial ups and downs.
Winter Ren: Earth first
In Hai, Zi and Chou months Water rules: 71% of winter Ren are strong and 62.6% take Earth, the Officer that holds Water like a dam.
Many rules stress warmth for winter water, but strong Ren needs Earth first; Fire (Wealth) comes after.
Spring and summer Ren: Metal first
Spring Wood drains Water: 71.3% of spring Ren are weak and 74.5% take Metal; summer Fire uses it up, 80% weak, Metal 48.6%, Water 36.4%. Metal feeds Water and controls Wood.
Autumn Ren is the most varied: half strong, half not, with Wood, Metal, Earth and Fire all possible.
