What is Direct Wealth in BaZi?
Direct Wealth is the element your Day Master controls with opposite yin-yang polarity; it stands for steady, practical resources — regular income and responsibility — and it is a blessing only when you can carry it; weak Day Master plus heavy Wealth is weight you cannot lift.

Is Direct Wealth good? Ask whether you can carry it
Wealth drains the Day Master. Strong: Wealth is usable resource. Weak: even fine Wealth is pressure — the old “rich house, poor person” image.
So the first question is strength, not how many Wealth stars you count. Strong charts support Wealth and let it feed Officer; weak charts support the Day Master with Resource or Peers before talking money.
How does Direct Wealth work with Officer, Resource and Peers?
Wealth feeds Officer. Heavy Direct Wealth with Officer/Killings next door often images career and duty; without Officer it stays at the “resource” layer.
Wealth also controls Resource. If Resource is favourable, heavy Wealth damages it. Direct Wealth with Indirect Resource is the stabler pairing. Peers attack Wealth: on a strong, Wealth-light chart they compete for it; on a weak chart they help you carry it.
What is a Direct Wealth structure? What if the chart is all Wealth?
Month branch main qi as Direct Wealth, also showing on a stem, is the classic Direct Wealth structure. Charts where Direct Wealth rules the month and shows are only 2.5% of our sample.
Day Master rootless and the chart almost all Wealth: read it as following Wealth. Stop propping up the Day Master; luck cycles of Wealth and Officer fit better.
Is Direct Wealth always “steadier” than Indirect Wealth?
Direct Wealth is steadier, Indirect Wealth more fluid — neither ranks higher. One is predictable output; the other is opportunity and flowing capital.
Many charts hold both. What matters is whether you can carry Wealth and whether it is favourable, not which name sounds nicer.
Data: on charts with visible Direct Wealth, how often are Officer, Resource and Peers present?
Direct Wealth shows in 27.9% of charts. Of those, 72.8% contain Officer/Killings, 72.4% contain Resource, 75.1% contain Peers — so Wealth feeding Officer, Wealth–Resource clash, and Peers vs. Wealth are all routine.
Only 7.2% of those charts are strong and land the Useful God on Wealth, so “strong likes Wealth” is a direction, not a guarantee that Wealth becomes the Useful God.
Direct Wealth ruling the month and visible is 2.5% of all charts.

Jia Wood is born in Hai, Water feeding Wood (supportive season). Month stem Ji is Direct Wealth; two Xin stems are Direct Officer. The Day Master is slightly strong and can carry Wealth. The calculator uses Metal, likes Earth and Fire, dislikes Water and Wood: Earth is Wealth, Metal is Officer — Wealth feeding Officer. Water would feed Jia further, but Wood is already strong, so Water is unfavourable.
