Indirect Resource is the element that produces your Day Master with the same yin-yang polarity; it is shelter that arrives at an angle, often linked with specialised insight, and its best-known move is attacking Eating God — then people call it the Owl.

How does Indirect Resource differ from Direct Resource?
Same job, different polarity. Direct Resource is mild; Indirect Resource is sideways — often linked with niche learning, intuition, research and solitude rather than ordinary shelter.
Good or bad still follows strength: on a weak chart it can feed you and transform Killings; on a strong chart a pile of Resource needs an outlet.
What is “owl snatching food”?
Indirect Resource attacks Eating God — it plugs your outlet. If Eating God is favourable (draining a strong Day Master, or taming Killings), visible Indirect Resource is trouble; if Eating God barely matters, the clash is minor.
In our sample, stems showing both Indirect Resource and Eating God are 5.8% of all charts; about half of those also contain Indirect Wealth, which can restrain the Owl.

The direct fix is Indirect Wealth restraining Indirect Resource. That frees Eating God.
